Hip-notizing Moves for Better Sex

Sometimes it is the simplest things that can bring us the most exquisite sexual pleasure. No props required. No acrobatic sex positions needed. By merely changing the way we move our hips – those anatomical wonders that help us move through the world with grace, balance, stability and strength – we can easily transform our usual lovemaking into something far more satisfying for both our partner and ourselves.

The Titillating Twist – During your next sexual encounter, insert your penis deeply in your partner’s vagina but rather than thrusting your hips in and out, move them in a circular motion. This swivel movement, especially when done slowly, will massage all areas of her vaginal canal and stimulate those sensitive erogenous zones. You can also stimulate her clitoris by tilting your hips up to brush her little pleasure bud during rotation.  

Go Deep – This wonderful hip movement will allow you to penetrate her deeper than either of you thought possible. With your lover’s hips slightly elevated and her legs spread, plunge deeply into her until you cannot go any further. Pause for a second and then push just a little further right before you pull your hips back. Use this movement slowly at first to create a rhythm before increasing your thrusts. Your partner should begin to anticipate that final deep push and can assist by relaxing her vaginal muscles slightly or lifting her hips a little higher to increase the pleasure for both of you.

Kegel King – The pubococcygeus muscle or PC muscle is a hammock-like muscle, found in both men and women, which stretches from the pubic bone to the coccyx (tail bone) forming the floor of the pelvic cavity and supporting the pelvic organs. While it controls things like bladder function, it can also help with sexual response and orgasm. If, during intercourse, you can learn to relax your PC (pelvic floor) muscle as your hips move together and squeeze as you pull apart, you will feel your penis and testicles move up into your body, providing you with some indirect prostate stimulation.  As you continue to kegel during penetration, inhale as you relax and exhale as you squeeze to intensify your orgasm.

The Tailbone Swing – Perineum stimulation is often quite gratifying for men, so try using your hips to swing your tailbone. Add the swing every time you come together and your PC muscle is relaxed. Doing so will enable you to experience deep pelvic contractions that will travel towards the perineum. An added benefit is that it will relax the lower back, providing greater comfort and flexibility – two desirable traits for prolonged lovemaking.

For additional pleasure for both you and her, use your hips to alternate between shallow and deep thrusting or to indulge in the Coital Alignment Technique (CAT).

    I like all your posts, Tracey, but I was just re-reading the one on scratching and recalled, among other creative objects to add are feathers. One, or several in a marvelous cluster. The bare stems can be used to scratch and stipple, while the length of the feather and its soft outer tuft can alternate tingling with the scratching. Fun to do it slowly and in an erotic trance for both partners.

    I think I need some more detail about the tailbone swing. What is this? How does the swing differ from thrusting? If my PC muscles are relaxed, how does this produce deep pelvic contractions?

    Finally, we’re in our 60s and I don’t notice the friction from thrusting that existed in our earlier years. When I go deep, I don’t feel the tension or the tightness that used to give much intense pleasure. Anything I can do? Any suggestions for her?

      Hi Bill,

      Some men do contract/tense their PC muscle while thrusting. Not only that it tires out the muscle, but also prevents the deep contractions mentioned in the article above. By relaxing the muscle, or consciously *not* tensing them, you are allowing yourself to experience a different type of sensation, and contractions.

      You may be interested in doing kegels, both yourself and your partner, strengthening your pelvic floor will help drive more blood in to your genital area, and improve sensation. Also it is important for penile and vaginal health. When not over done.

      Since Mr Romance has already addressed your concerns, I will just encourage you to speak to your wife about beginning a kegel exercise routine. They are super simple to do and can be done even while standing at the grocery checkout. Not only will kegeling regularly tighten the muscles surrounding her vagina wall, it can also help with bladder control and such. Perhaps she would like to give the following articles a read:
