Maintenance Sex

maintenance sex 1

While busy work schedules, child-rearing and household chores may conspire to keep us out of the bedroom; it seems our libido cannot withstand the neglect for too long. Without regular sexual activity, we will ultimately lose our sex drive, our sexual chemistry potential, as well as our ability to comfortably connect with our lover. And the longer we abstain from sex – either solo or partnered – the lower our hormone and sperm or egg production. Without regular sex, not only will our relationship suffer but our physical health will too.

“Use it or lose it” is not just a cliché where our libido is concerned.

Despite the importance of sustaining our sex drive, it is unlikely that our hectic lives will accommodate spontaneous, marathon lovemaking on a daily basis; no matter how much we may want to. Fortunately, there is a suitable alternative for keeping our libido revving until we can indulge in longer sexual encounters – maintenance sex.

Its rather uninspiring name notwithstanding, maintenance sex can be every bit as passionate and pleasurable as extended sexual play. Whether it is a fast and furious quickie in the shower before heading into work, a mid-afternoon tryst before the kids return home from school or a 20-minute romp scheduled the same time every week, maintenance sex need not be boring or predictable. The key is a willingness to seize each opportunity as it…ummm…arises.

Isable, you hit the nail on the head. Men it is important to get in your woman’s head if you want passion in the bed. Husbands and wives both must acquiesce to each other to maintain a strong bond in marriage. Yes, communication is paramount but sexual connection is more expressive in ways words cannot express.

    The Perfect Whore

Dating in the metro cities of society is far beyond me.
Quite disturbing are their theories of reverse psychology.
They seem so innocent, elegant, and extra sexy.
Making love is how they cleanse their spirit and set their souls free.

Backward thinking keeps them in line with that of a prostitute,
egos elevated higher than their ass stacked in a four-inch boot,
swaying and swirling, a hot body banging in a business suit,
pretending to love men when what they want rises from a ginger root.

An awesome attitude of a princess, a professional with a college degree,
legally separated, divorced with an ex in their lives constantly,
two or three kids in the house hindering hopes of a husband to be,
a picture perfect pose supporting a bubble butt of ecstasy.

In three months about two arguments a day and you are out the door.
You will be back for the sex and argue for a little bit more,
naked in the kitchen, in the front room, and on the bedroom floor.
Each time it crosses your mind, Could I survive being married to

And the longer we abstain from sex – either solo or partnered – the lower our hormone and sperm or egg production. ” —Women are born with all the eggs they will ever have. Sperm count is actually lowered when the more frequently man has a release-either solo-or partnered. The more the sperm is “reserved”, the more sperm there will be.

Women don’t produce more eggs. All we do is continue to lose them throughout our lifetime.

      Hey Someone,

I am well aware that women have a finite amount of eggs. When I stated that abstinence lowers egg production, I was referring to a women’s cycle length and ovulation which can indeed be affected by her sexual behaviour (or lack thereof). Regarding male sperm production, again, various studies have been conducted about men’s sexual health and there has been clear evidence that a lack of regular (not excessive)sexual activity does indeed affect testosterone levels, sperm production and can cause impotence and erectile dysfunction in older men.
